Studio Dumbar/DEPT® is an international agency with a Dutch heritage, specialising in identity, motion and sound.
We work for a variety of clients both large and small – from business and government to cultural and non-profit.
Projects span from the Dutch Railways visual identity, Utah Jazz motion language, Instagram motion identity, the refresh of the Van Gogh museum identity to initiating and designing DEMO, the largest design in motion festival in the world.

Liza is Partner and Creative Director at Studio Dumbar/DEPT®, an award-winning international agency with a Dutch heritage, specialising in visual branding, motion and sound.
She is directly involved with all major studio projects, such as the Instagram motion identity, the D&AD Creativity Festival, brand refresh of the van Gogh Museum, and is co-founder of the Studio Dumbar initiative DEMO – Design in Motion Festival.
She is also the co-founder and co-host of Typeradio.org, a podcast on type and design.
And has served for several years as a Board of Trustees member for D&AD (UK) and ADCN (Netherlands), and is an elected member of the prestigious design association AGI, Alliance Graphique Internationale.
Liza is an MA Design graduate from the Royal College of Art, London. Before joining Studio Dumbar, she worked for Pentagram London for several years.
