Raquel Quevedo

Barcelona

Artist and designer

Raquel Quevedo is a Barcelona–based artist and designer whose practice moves fluidly between contemporary art and graphic design. Her work explores the thresholds between digital and material worlds, approaching each project as a hybrid organism shaped by interaction, experimentation, and cycles of transformation.

In her artistic practice, Quevedo works as a mediator between analog and digital environments, questioning how materials behave, communicate, and transform. Her sculptures, installations, and visual experiments investigate the interrelations between technology, biology, and perception, often unfolding as living, evolving systems. Her work has been exhibited internationally, including at Etage Projects (Copenhagen) and the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea (Rome).

As a graphic designer, she develops bold visual identities based on custom typography, experimental letterforms, and strong aesthetic direction. She specialises in hybrid projects where art, imagery, and graphic systems intersect—collaborating with clients ranging from cultural institutions to local initiatives and independent creators. She particularly values projects rooted in proximity, community, and shared storytelling.

Alongside her studio practice, Quevedo teaches typography at Escola Massana and is part of the faculty in the Master in Beyond Products at Elisava, where she explores new intersections between design, materiality, and digital culture.
