Charlotte Rohde (DE, *1992) is an artist, writer, and type designer based in Berlin, DE. She studied at the Sandberg Instituut in Amsterdam, NL. Language is the central medium of her work, materializing in typefaces, text, typographic imagery, installation and performance. She is interested in écriture féminine, pop culture and the economy.
For the last three years, she functioned as Guest Professor for Typography and Type Design at Bauhaus Universität Weimar and has lectured in various institutions, for example Princeton University, Universität der Künste Berlin, Sandberg Instituut, Central Saint Martins, Universidad Nacional de La Plata, and the Estonian Academy of the Arts.
She recently published her first Monograph titled “You Loved An Image”, with DISTANZ Verlag Berlin, an Artist Book that contains Autotheory, Poetry and Typographic Interventions.
