Meta panel talk
All the way from San Francisco, we’re welcoming Joshua To, VP of design at Meta, and Nicholas Kamuda, product design at Meta to our main stage! Together with Anna Mill, an artist & designer from London, they will have a panel talk on our main stage.
This talk will happen mere days after the Meta Connect event, so we can expect a very interesting conversation 😎! This panel talk is moderated by Belgium’s science/A.I. celebrity/nerd Lieven Scheire, brought to you by SuperNova.
Joshua To (San Franciso)
Joshua To is a VP of Design at Meta and currently leads the AR Wearables Design team. This includes our Glasses efforts as well as the rest of our Wearables portfolio. He joined Meta in 2021 and has quickly become a trusted partner with domain expertise at Meta. He is directly responsible for ensuring that our products ship with the highest quality and the best user experience.
Prior to joining Meta, Joshua was a design leader at Google and spearheaded the Google AR, AR Platform, Lens and Wearables efforts. This includes leading UX Research, Writing and Human Factors for all Google Hardware.
Joshua has always been interested in building extraordinary things across the intersection of design, entrepreneurship and technology. In his spare time, Joshua is the founder of non-profits WellDone International and Soup where he plays an active role. He is based out of the Reality Labs Headquarters in Burlingame, California.
Nicholas Kamuda (Seattle)
Nick is a director of design and an artist who works in future product research and development at Meta. After working in the physical media of drawings, sculpture, food, and sound, he snuck into big tech to make future products more creative. He’s led products like Microsoft HoloLens and worked with emerging media like spatial operating systems and GenAI.
He’s now a design director for new wearable products at Meta, where his team helps company leadership hallucinate new concepts and determine whether to invest in new products or technology. He also works closely on collaborations with non-Meta designers and creatives.
Nick’s other long-term obsession is the giant design problem of the climate crisis and how we can be better Earthlings. He lives in Seattle and spends summers in Scandinavia with his family.
Anna Mill (London)
Award winning designer, artist and author working at Liquid City, a London-based design and prototyping studio. Anna has a specialism in detailed explorations of concepts, spaces and speculative design through atmospheric illustration and short fiction.
